It's true. Life is what you make of it. We are dealt a few cards from the beginning and we are to decide how we want to play those cards. There is an element of risk, luck, fortune, and loss in all the moves we make, but yet we still have control over them.

I think the only real thing we have control over is - our attitude and how we carry ourselves through the "happenings" of life. Yes ultimately we choose which one of the "options" is given to us - but we don't have control over what options those will be - we can work very hard for more options to open doors for us - but life does not guarantee you anything - I wish I could control the things that happened in life - but sadly - you learn through experiences ... that we really are powerless. We don't have as much control as we think we do. Maybe that is why people feel comfort in believing in a god - at least if you can trust in god - then you can trust that good things will happen within your own destiny. Sorry so gloomy - I guess...not really in the brightest of moods...cb's dad is in the hospital again...and it's bad. We are meeting in the hospital tomarrow evening. Thinking about how powerless all of us are - made me think about what I just said. If we had the power and control - we would take away whatever was preventing cb's dad from being in there....but as you see...in the end ... we are all powerless.
